When successful storyteller Clemente confronts his father Felix’s memory loss, he embarks on an emotional journey to reclaim their bond, grappling with the heartache of a father who no longer recognizes him and the silence that speaks volumes about love and loss.
Feasibility
The world is changing: families are facing breakdown, individualism and an ageing population. Alzheimer's disease poses a major risk to older people, requiring greater attention and support. Non-profit organisations and governments are prioritising this issue around the world, allowing resources to be mobilised through philanthropy. The short film can be produced in Vancouver on a low budget, taking advantage of the local support available in the film industry.
Luis Gerardo Mendez
CLEMENTE (40 years old). Successful audiovisual producer based in Vancouver, second generation of a family of Mexican immigrants. He is married to Daniela, with whom he raised his daughter Camila.
Humberto Zurita
FELIX (70 years old). Mexican cinematographer, his profession brought him to Vancouver where he decided to settle down. He is the widower of Gwen, a well known actress of the 70s.
